Eligibility
Applicants must be in their senior year of high school at CNS High School (in Cicero, NY) or Ravenwood High School (in Brentwood, TN) to be considered for the scholarship.
Policies
The application form and project materials must be submitted by the date and time highlighted on the Application page for each high school.
The application form and project must be submitted by 5PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
There will be NO EXCEPTIONS made for late submissions. Please submit your application form and project early to prevent any unforeseen obstacles.
Scholarship winners will be chosen from the pool of finalists following an interview with the selection committee.
- Interviews for CNS finalists will be virtual via ZOOM
- Interviews for Ravenwood finalists will be in person
After the Scholarship Committee reviews all applications and projects, they will determine finalists who will move on to an interview. The Scholarship Committee will reach out Finalists to set-up a 20-minute interview.
Finalists must attend the interview to merit consideration for the scholarship. During the interview, finalists will be asked to discuss their project, experience with computers, and future college plans. Awardees will be determined by the committee based on their use of computers within their anticipated college major, academic potential, motivation, and character.
Determination of Awardees is in the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee. Per Section 4945(g) of the Code, selections shall be made without regard to an applicant’s gender, race, or ethnic background.
Awardees will be announced at the end of the year awards ceremonies at each school. Awards will be in the form of an Apple laptop or desktop computer.
